Discomfort Bubble is a 16 minute, audio-only, narrative experience for an audience of one. It was made for and presented in a four channel surround sound system and mixed using Dolby Atmos within Logic Pro.
The show explores what it means to seek comfort through digital content. It is a reflection on modern technology that asks the question “when our ears are covered, where are we, really?”
This project was an entirely solo endeavor as the creative portion of my undergraduate thesis project in Theatre. I am currently writing a paper about the process, my research and the audience’s reception.
